MRI Technologist - Per Diem
Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, preparing patients, selecting appropriate protocols, and acquiring high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
• Utilize imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, document activities, and evaluate image quality.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with MRI interventional procedures.
• Apply safety principles to minimize risks to patients, self, and staff.
• Select pulse sequences, verify data transfer, and participate in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills: Must hold ARRT-MR, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR certification. Education includes graduation from a radiologic technology program; a related Bachelor's degree is preferred. Demonstrates proficiency in routine and complex duties, with a commitment to departmental priorities.
