CT Technologist - Evening Shift
Role Overview : The CT Technologist I is responsible for performing computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, and assisting licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams, respecting confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities accurately.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data transfer, and perform post-processing when needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist with and perform CT procedures under supervision, supporting interventional and diagnostic activities.
Qualifications & Skills
• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification before starting.
• For hires after a specified date, advanced certification within 24 months is necessary.
• Graduate from a specialty radiologic technology program; a related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of radiation safety, patient care, and imaging protocols.
