MRI Technologist - Night Shift
Role Overview: An MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and research. They operate MRI equipment independently or assist licensed practitioners, ensuring accurate data acquisition, image quality, and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate images for quality, and verify data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety protocols to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI-guided procedures and select appropriate pulse sequences based on protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
• Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Experience with MRI safety, technical imaging principles, and patient care.
• Training in radiologic technology or related field, with a preference for a bachelor's degree.
