Quality Assurance Technician – 2nd Shift
Sinking Spring, PA | Full-Time | On-Site
Schedule: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Quality Matters Here. So Does Your Work.
Grafika is a technologically advanced print and packaging manufacturer with a long history of delivering high-quality products and dependable, customer-focused service.
We continue to invest in our people, equipment, technology, and processes, and we're looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our 2nd Shift team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, solving problems, working with people, and making sure the products leaving our facility meet both customer expectations and Grafika's quality standards.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll work closely with production and operations throughout the manufacturing process to:
• Perform visual, dimensional, and other quality inspections to ensure printed and packaged products meet customer specifications and internal standards.
• Provide hands-on quality support and guidance to production employees.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconformities and quality concerns.
• Follow and help reinforce established safety, GMP, food safety, and quality procedures.
• Review job specifications, quality requirements, and production documentation.
• Perform routine equipment checks and support calibration of measurement and inspection equipment.
• Review and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions related to customer complaints and internal quality issues.
• Support Grafika's SQF and ISO quality systems and certification requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits and completion of corrective actions.
• Prepare customer Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and maintain raw-material COA documentation.
• Assist with quality KPI tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate and participate in product rework activities when necessary.
• Support trials and quality evaluations for new products and processes.
• Provide quality-related training as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced quality professional who can step into the role with a solid understanding of quality assurance in a manufacturing environment. We'll teach you Grafika's products, equipment, systems, and processes — but we're looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of quality and can contribute quickly.
• Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing product inspections, identifying nonconformities, documenting findings, and making sound quality decisions.
• Working knowledge of root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO, SQF, GMP, food safety, or similar regulated manufacturing standards.
• Experience using measurement and inspection equipment and an understanding of calibration requirements and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, job documentation, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data, recognize trends, and identify potential quality issues.
• Confidence communicating quality concerns and working directly with production teams, supervisors, and leadership to resolve issues.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and comfort working within electronic quality or production systems.
• Printing, packaging, paperboard, labels, or related converting/manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be organized, dependable, self-directed, and comfortable making quality decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
Don't check every box? Apply anyway. We know great candidates don't always fit neatly into a checklist. If you have a strong quality background, a problem-solving mindset, and think you could make an impact at Grafika, we'd like to hear from you.
This role is best suited for someone who already knows quality — we'll teach you Grafika.
