Job Summary
The ByProduct Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth operations from crew arrival through departure. Duties include collecting PPE, tools, and necessary information; ensuring department needs are met throughout the shift; and completing all required end-of-shift tasks. All work must be performed efficiently while following safety standards and established protocols.
Essential Functions
• Manage staffing, production schedules, line speeds, and daily production needs.
• Ensure safety, PPE, GMP, quality, and company standards are followed.
• Conduct shift handoffs, floor checks, hourly production checks, and end-of-shift walkthroughs.
• Coordinate breaks, lunches, cleaning, and daily stretches.
• Train and assist team members and delegate tasks as needed.
• Monitor production flow, minimize downtime, and address issues promptly.
• Report staffing, downtime, safety, quality, and foreign material concerns.
• Complete required paperwork and perform basic department functions.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED, or up to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership experience preferred but not required.
