IT Application Support Specialist
We are looking for an IT Application Support Specialist to provide dependable support for business applications and day-to-day technology needs in Pennsylvania. This contract position offers the potential for a permanent role and is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving technical issues, assisting users, and helping maintain stable system performance across a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will work closely with employees, technical teams, and business partners to address support requests, improve application usage, and contribute to ongoing operational success.
Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming support requests through the ticketing platform and prioritize issues based on business impact and urgency.
• Investigate and resolve application and system problems ranging from routine questions to more complex user-reported incidents.
• Carry out recurring processing activities for supported applications to help ensure smooth and accurate operations.
• Administer user access, permissions, and report availability while maintaining appropriate security controls.
• Maintain detailed ticket records, update user information, and document actions taken through final resolution and closure.
• Communicate regularly with end users to provide status updates, answer questions, and confirm successful issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen service delivery and suggest practical updates to workflows or support procedures.
• Partner with analysts, developers, and other IT teams on system integration efforts and additional technology-related initiatives as needed.
• Working knowledge of business applications, desktop technologies, and common IT systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues logically and efficiently.
• Experience supporting users in a help desk, desktop support, or application support environment.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and build positive working relationships across teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tickets, deadlines, and priorities with limited supervision.
• Customer-focused approach with a commitment to responsive service and a detail-oriented support experience.
• Proficiency with tools and technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 10, service desk ticketing systems, and general application support practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred; comparable training, certifications, or practical experience will also be considere
