Corporate Travel Consultant
If you're reading this on LinkedIn: perfect. Now don't apply here.
The real instructions are at the bottom, and they're a tiny bit particular on purpose. A great corporate advisor reads the whole itinerary before booking the flight — so read all the way down before you send us anything. (Hint: no LinkedIn applications. We'll explain.)
Wanted: The Person Who Makes Business Travel Look Easy
You know the one. When the 6 a.m. flight gets cancelled, the meeting still happens — because someone three steps ahead already had a plan B. When the itinerary is complex, the traveler somehow only sees "simple." That invisible, unflappable competence? That's the job. We'll pay you for it.
Global Escapes is hiring a Corporate Travel Advisor for our Athens location. Our corporate clients trust us to keep their people moving — on time, on policy, and without the stress. As an advisor, you'll own client relationships, hit real sales targets, and turn high-volume, high-stakes travel into something that runs like clockwork.
Who We Are
Global Escapes has been crafting extraordinary travel from Georgia for over 30 years, with locations in Athens and Dunwoody. We're a full-service travel concierge, and we're proud of the company we keep:
• Members of Signature Travel Network and Connoisseur Travel — our clients get the buying power of $2+ billion in annual sales and access to the world's most elite travel partners, perks, and upgrades
• 3x Magellan Award winners over the past 6 years
• Members of TAMS, the travel industry's premier benchmarking group
• A team that travels, takes notes, and genuinely loves helping people see the world
Who You Are
We're hiring for temperament first and résumé second. Here's who we're picturing:
• You're fast AND precise. You move at the speed a busy account demands, and you still triple-check the transfer times, the confirmation numbers, the fare rules. Speed and accuracy aren't a trade-off in your world; they're roommates.
• You're unflappable under pressure. A delayed flight, a last-minute change, a traveler stuck in a foreign airport at midnight — you solve in real time and keep your voice calm while you do it.
• You communicate warmly and promptly. Your emails are clear. Your follow-ups are reliable. Nobody ever wonders where things stand with you.
• You're endlessly curious. New routes, new fare structures, new booking tools, changing entry requirements — you stay a step ahead because you actually enjoy staying a step ahead.
• You're a relationship-builder. Corporate clients don't just book once. They stay because you anticipate what they need before they ask, and they expand because you've earned their trust.
• Bonus, not required: prior experience in corporate travel, travel systems, or a fast-paced booking environment. If you've taken the Working Genius assessment, tell us your top two in your application — we're big believers in putting people in seats where their genius shines.
What You'll Do
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact, with prompt, professional communication
• Build long-term relationships through proactive service and follow-up
• Anticipate needs and resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Maintain accurate client profiles and travel records
Sales Performance & Revenue
• Meet or exceed individual sales and revenue targets
• Identify opportunities to upsell services and enhancements
• Drive client retention and repeat business
• Support business development initiatives
Product & Destination Expertise
• Maintain strong knowledge of airlines, hotels, and destinations
• Research and deliver efficient travel solutions aligned with client needs
• Stay current on industry trends and travel requirements
• Use booking systems to manage domestic and international travel
Execution & Operations
• Manage high-volume bookings with accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure all documentation is complete and correct
• Handle invoicing and administrative travel tasks
• Prioritize effectively across multiple deadlines
• Problem-solve in real-time travel situations
What Success Looks Like
You thrive in a high-volume, execution-focused role. You balance speed with accuracy without blinking. You take ownership of client satisfaction and your own results. And you bring three of our core values to work every day: Authenticity, Optimism, and Insatiable Curiosity.
The Details
• Location: Athens, GA — potential hybrid opportunity; initial onboarding and training will be fully in person
• Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some evening and weekend coverage when a client's travel needs it (business travel doesn't always keep business hours)
Don't Check Every Box?
Apply anyway. Strong corporate advisors come from operations, hospitality, account management, logistics, and plenty of places in between. If you have the temperament, the curiosity, and the drive to learn, we can teach you the industry. We hire people, then train skills — not the other way around.
How to Apply
Send us two things:
• Your resume (PDF, please)
• A short video "cover letter" — 1 to 2 minutes, phone-quality is perfect. Tell us who you are, why this role speaks to you, and a time you kept your cool when a plan fell apart. We want to meet you, not just your paperwork.
DO NOT APPLY ON LINKEDIN.
📧 Email both to careers@globalescapes.com (attach your resume as a PDF; attach the video or send a link — Loom, unlisted YouTube, Google Drive all work).
⏳ Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled — the best seats book early. 😉
No phone calls or walk-ins, please. All applications kept completely confidential.
