Duties Lead and supervise the merchandising team to ensure optimal product placement, stock levels, and visual presentation aligned with brand standards. Oversee inventory management processes including stock replenishment, stocktaking, and inventory control to minimize shrinkage and maximize sales. Coordinate purchasing activities by working closely with vendors, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of merchandise. Manage daily store operations including cashiering, POS (Point of Sale) system oversight, cash handling, and sales transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service. Implement operational procedures related to pricing strategies, promotional displays, and store layout adjustments to boost sales performance. Supervise shift management duties such as scheduling staff coverage, managing payroll records, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, leadership in conflict resolution, and motivating team members toward shared goals. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with a focus on merchandising or sales management. Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or team management experience; capable of guiding and motivating staff effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities including inventory control, staffing schedules, and operational tasks. Proficiency in POS systems, basic math skills for cash handling and inventory calculations, and familiarity with retail math concepts. Effective communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases. Experience with negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting is highly desirable. Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques including pricing strategies, promotional planning, and customer service excellence. Demonstrated ability to handle operational responsibilities such as stock stocking, merchandising setup, shift management, and cash handling procedures.
