Minimum Qualifications for Human Resources Administrative Assistant High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. At least one year of Human Resource manufacturing experience preferred. ADP WFN experience preferred Must be 18 years of age Pass all pre-employment screening Authorized to work in the US Summary : The Human Resource Administrative Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department & safety program in a Manufacturing environment. Responsible for : Process weekly payroll ensuring that procedures are followed, and proper HR and payroll documentation is completed. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Update and input employee information as required, including setting up new employees and processing changes. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refer more complex questions HR management. Provides clerical support to the HR department Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events. Assist with administration of Workers compensation program. Assist with/maintain first aid log and OSHA 300 log Maintain new and existing employee training records. Review, track, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and certifications. Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures. Active member of Safety Committee. Coordinates the safety and security programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment. Facilitates employee safety eyewear program by contacting the optical company, returning broken glasses for repairs, and filing prescriptions. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. Perform other related duties as arise. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully the following computer proficiency is required: Internet Explorer; Microsoft Access; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word. Other Skills and Qualifications: Well-developed math, computer and problem-solving skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Physical requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Noise level is moderate to loud. Occasionally work near large industrial machinery. Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm Friday - 7:30am - 1:30pm Adjust hours as needed based on department needs.
