Keystone Industries is currently seeking an Order Picker for our Myerstown, PA location. Position Title : Order Picker Shift: M-F, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Warehouse Manager GENERAL DUTIES: Ensure customer orders are filled promptly and correctly. Maintain neat and orderly work area. Assist in other areas of the company as directed by warehouse management. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Picking orders according to procedures and instructions provided for all customer orders. Locate products using technology. Picking out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, batch numbers, etc., ensuring accuracy. Knowledgeable of the packaging operation in the warehouse as it relates to box sizes and order packaging. Load conveyances and pallets for outbound shipments. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience as order picker or other warehouse position preferred but not required. Must be able to read and write English and possess basic math skills. Ability to work effectively, independently and in a group setting, in a diverse environment and across the Company. Ability to meet tight deadlines and be well organized. Must have good attention to detail and have some administrative skills i.e., processing of paperwork, maintaining files, etc. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or completion of GED Equivalent. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; sit; stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 35 – 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a manufacturing environment. However, this position requires one to work both in an office environment and a manufacturing facility. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, dust, dirt, and fumes. Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals and will be exposed to varying temperatures.
