Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time Assistant Teacher to work Monday through Friday 3:30-7:30 to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through routines Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean, inviting environment Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, needs, and daily activities Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings preferred Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR required; additional first aid training is a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education is highly desirable Strong classroom management skills and ability to supervise children effectively Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle behavior management strategies with patience and professionalism Familiarity with childhood development milestones, infant care, toddler care, and daycare center operations Must be reliable, energetic, positive, and committed to supporting young children's growth Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued and inspired!
