Title: Mechanical Designer Location: Reading, PA (Hybrid) Duration: Full Time Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the design of HVAC, plumbing, process piping, fire protection, and data/telecommunication systems for a variety of projects. Collaborate with multi-discipline staff on the design and implementation of mechanical systems in both new and existing buildings. Interface directly with clients, vendors, contractors. Perform mechanical design calculations, including building heating and cooling loads. Ensure designs adhere to building design and energy codes and standards. Survey existing mechanical systems, equipment, and building conditions for projects. Specify equipment and material requirements for projects. Prepare technical reports and design specifications. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field. 7-9 years of HVAC systems design experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. Knowledge or experience with LEED and Green Building practices is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with self-motivation and leadership abilities.
