Manufacturing Technician - Orbital Welding – 1st Shift PENFLEX CORPORATION - Gilbertsville, PA Penflex is hiring dependable, mechanically inclined individuals to join our manufacturing team in Gilbertsville, PA. As an Orbital Welding Technician, you'll operate specialized automated orbital welding equipment used to join corrugated stainless steel hose into continuous reel lengths or customer-specified lengths. This is a precision manufacturing position that combines machine operation, quality inspection, and attention to detail to produce products used in power generation, refineries, chemical processing, aerospace, semiconductor, and other demanding industries around the world. What You'll Do Set up and operate automated orbital welding equipment. Join corrugated stainless steel hose into continuous reel lengths or customer-specified lengths. Prepare hose ends for welding according to work instructions. Monitor welding operations and make machine adjustments as needed. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet Penflex quality standards. Measure and verify finished product lengths and specifications. Follow work orders, production schedules, and manufacturing procedures. Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance. Work closely with team members to maintain efficient production flow. Help identify improvements in safety, quality, and productivity. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Prior orbital welding experience is not required—we provide on-the-job training. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequently lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds . Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and manufacturing machinery.
