Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to students and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment. Responsibilities: - Provide direct healthcare services to students - Assess and treat illnesses and injuries within the school setting - Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers - Monitor students with chronic health conditions - Educate students and staff on health-related topics - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals Qualifications: - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice - Certified School Nurse (CSN) preferred- or willingness to obtain - CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and vital signs - Experience with medication administration - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality - Ability to respond to medical emergencies effectively - Strong organizational skills for managing medical records and patient care Joining our team as a School Nurse offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of students while working in a supportive educational environment.
