Description
Materials Management: The Materials Control Assistant participates in a variety of material control duties including receiving, verifying, storing, issuing, shipping of supplies/materials, mail movement and distribution of material to point of use locations. Cardiovascular Group: The Materials Control Assistant participates in a variety of material control duties involving receiving, verifying, storing, issuing and shipping of supplies, materials and equipment. This position also processes incoming and outgoing mail and may make deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities
Receives, unpacks shipments and verifies contents against receiving documents/purchase orders; reports any shortages, overages, items received wrong or without packing slips or P.O. numbers and damaged materials received. Notes lot numbers and expiration datesTransports and transfers supplies and/or equip., and fills orders on scheduled daysRestocks storeroom shelves as supplies are received, rotates stock. Maintains inventory accuracyReplenishes all medical surgical items in point of use locationsMakes courier deliveriesCompletes weekly inventory count on all assigned point of use locationsReviews and recommends par level adjustments in relation to inventory movement at point of use locationsReviews weekly all point of use locations for cleanliness and expired materialsWorks with Point of Use systems for ordering purposesProcesses ingoing and outgoing mailPrepares Fed Ex and UPS packagesGreets vendors and receives deliveriesResponds to inquiries concerning shipments, mail, office supplies, etc.Orders office supplies and maintains appropriate inventoryIssues asset tags and monitor asset inventoryKeeps warehouse in presentable condition; tears down boxes and keeps deliveries and inventory movingFollows all appropriate confidentiality rules and regulationTransports items to and from various locations, ensuring proper care of items handled during transportEnsure that the documentation corresponds to each itemEnsure that all documentation is credible and accurateEnsure the punctual collection and delivery of medical items from healthcare facilityEnsure that recipients sign delivery receipts and designations are verifiedAccurately count and take inventory of medical items to be collected or deliveredMay perform other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.Required License: For Materials Management positions - Valid Virginia State Drivers License.Salary Range: $15.90 - $22.26 / Hour
