Under the clinical direction of a Radiologist, the Coordinator of Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT Services and the Director of Radiology, performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsible for the daily Quality Control of all Hot Lab and Imaging Equipment. The technologist must use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure in a manner that they are calm and comfortable prior to being injected for the procedure. They display their technical competence by effectively producing high-quality PET-CT images.

Performs diagnostic PET-CT / CT imaging proceduresQuality control of all equipmentPrep and measurement of radio-pharmaceuticalsInjection of the radio-pharmaceuticals or IV contrastAdministration of oral contrastProtocol setupPatient PositioningImage reconstruction and filmingNetwork image transfers and archiving of image dataAdhere to all Radiation Safety rules to provide a safe environment. Survey department areas and record readings.Collect patient clinical information and follow HIPAA guidelines.Maintains proper documentation in accordance with NRC / State licensure requirements.Adheres to and performs in accordance with hospital rules and regulations related to fire, safety and emergency codes.May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.
Qualifications
Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program. Completed required hours of continuing educationPreferred Education: Bachelors DegreeRequired Experience: 6 months of experience as a PET-CT TechnologistRequired Certifications and Licensures: Current ARRT (N) or CNMT certification. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association or the American Red CrossPreferred Certifications and Licensures: CNMT (PET) ARRT (N)(CT) CNMT (CT)Salary Range: $33.79 - $50.68/Hourly Rate
