Location
This opportunity is based in Painted Post, NY, a community known for its rich history and beautiful surroundings in the Finger Lakes region.
Scope of Position
This role carries direct supervisory responsibility for a frontline production team operating in a continuous manufacturing environment. The position involves day-to-day execution of production schedules, team performance, and process quality within the assigned area. It requires operating within established guidelines and policies while exercising independent judgment to resolve issues, adjust processes, and maintain safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and output goals; enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean, compliant work environment.
• Execute and coordinate production schedules based on equipment efficiency, materials supply, and product requirements.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and hands-on training on safety and production procedures.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure manufactured products consistently meet specifications and standards.
• Identify and resolve production issues through root cause analysis; champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and methods.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts or relevant manufacturing supervisory experience.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to interpret technical process data and translate findings into actionable operational adjustments.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate results, issues, and progress clearly to management.
• Document process changes with precision and ensure follow-through on assignments.
• Identify process gaps and implement structured improvements with minimal direction.
• Collaborate across production teams to resolve issues and sustain performance standards.
Desired Qualifications
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in ceramic manufacturing or similar process-intensive production environments.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Work Schedule
• Swing shift; current 24/5 plant operation (24/7 schedule possible).
• 40–50 hours per week; off-hours support and vacation coverage as needed.
