Job Title: Manufacturing Associate – Cable Assembly and Inspection
Pay: $20-$24
Hours: 1st Shift 6:30am-3pm onday-Friday
Job Description
Production, assembly, testing, and inspection of electro-mechanical products.
Responsibilities
• Build simple point-to-point cables and assemblies.
• Read and interpret job orders, product specifications, and documentation to understand requirements for each build and ensure correct materials and processes are used.
• Complete in-process inspections on assemblies to verify quality and adherence to specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
• Demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools such as soldering guns, wrenches, hand strippers, trimmers, wire cutters, chop saws, rulers, microscopes, and magnifiers.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to the building, inspection, and testing of assemblies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting on cables to confirm they operate correctly, including verifying that frequency and other performance characteristics meet required standards.
Essential Skills
• 4–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in assembly or electromechanical assembly environments.
• Proficiency in cable assembly and manufacturing assembly, including building simple point-to-point cables.
• Ability to perform thru-hole soldering on components and assemblies.
• Strong ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
• Capability to perform testing and troubleshooting on cables to ensure proper operation and acceptable frequency performance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with inspection assembly and electromechanical assembly is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with testing processes, including frequency testing and use of scopes or related equipment, is a plus.
• Experience with thru-hole soldering; formal soldering certifications are not required but are considered ideal.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pottstown, PA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
