Quality Control Microbiologist
NOW HIRING: Senior QC Microbiology Specialist
12-Month Contract | Pharmaceutical / GMP Environment
We’re seeking an experienced microbiology and quality professional to support Quality Control, microbiological testing, validation, investigations, change control, environmental monitoring, and new product development.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate independently in a regulated laboratory and confidently manage complex quality activities from protocol development through final reporting.
What you’ll do:
• Perform USP microbiological testing, including AET
• Prepare test media and apply aseptic techniques
• Support method validation and environmental monitoring
• Execute protocols, investigations, and change controls
• Prepare SOPs, technical reports, and quality documentation
Qualifications:
• BS degree in a scientific discipline
• 8+ years of GMP/QC laboratory experience
• Hands-on AET and test-media preparation experience
• Strong knowledge of USP methods and aseptic techniques
• Validation, investigation, and technical-writing skills
Required qualifications:
✓ Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or another scientific discipline
✓ 8+ years of experience in a GMP environment and Quality Control laboratory
✓ Knowledge of USP microbiological methods
✓ Hands-on Antimicrobial Effectiveness Testing experience
✓ Experience preparing microbiological test media
✓ Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbial testing
✓ Working knowledge of cGMP, USP, and ISO requirements
✓ Strong investigation, technical-writing, and data-review skills
✓ Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Preferred experience:
• Equipment and critical-systems qualification
• Cleaning, process, utility, or laboratory-method validation
• Environmental monitoring program management
• Change control and internal auditing
This 12-month contract offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a highly regulated quality organization. Contract could re-new or lead to direct hire role.
