Hospice and Palliative Care Physician - Locum Tenens
Role Overview: This inpatient palliative care physician position involves providing comprehensive consultations for adult patients, supervising a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, and documenting care using the Cerner EMR system.
Responsibilities: Evaluate 2-3 new patients and conduct follow-up assessments on 2-3 existing patients daily. Cover Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no call or holiday duties.
Qualifications & Skills: Board Certified and fellowship-trained in Palliative Care, with recent experience within the past 12 months. Ability to supervise a nurse practitioner and work on-site.
Additional Details: Support staff includes a Palliative Care NP, and the patient population is adult. The role involves inpatient consultation and supervision in a hospital setting.
