And our success allows Knoll to support causes that align with our values, so we can build a more sustainable, equitable, and beautiful future for everyone.Machine Operator – Wood POSITION SUMMARYCandidate/Incumbent will program and operate CNC woodworking machinery, as well as finishing and assembly of components as required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and Operate CNC machines to perform a variety of tasksUnderstand specifications of the task and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.Translate instructions into computer commands to enable the machines to perform the correct functionPrepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machinesConduct a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate a large number of partsSupervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better resultInspect and measure finished products to ensure the process has been completed properlyCheck and maintain machinery daily to ensure optimum functionalityREQUIRED SKILLS:Two year associates degree preferredBackground in woodworking field preferredREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Proven experience as a CNC operator preferredPrior skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling preferred as well as precision measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawingsMechanical aptitude and excellent math skills.Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM preferredWho We Hire?Simply put, we hire qualified applicants representing a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.
