Role Overview: The Parts Clerk is responsible for the sale of aviation parts to internal and external customers. Responsible for overseeing all parts and inventory of such for the Repair Station and must possess a thorough understanding of the policies and procedures described in the company’s Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and Federal Aviation Regulations relating to aviation products. Coordinates with the Chief Inspector to ensure compliance with all necessary parts inspection requirements and is responsible for all materials, parts and tooling, inventory, and control of materials received. Key Responsibilities: Provides exceptional customer service at all interactions to internal and external customers. Monitors and follows profit margin guidelines set by the Parts Manager Receives and ships materials, parts, components and supplies in a timely and efficient manner Maintains accurate record of materials, parts, and components purchased in accordance with FAA regulations Conducts inventory analysis and is a key participant in yearly department audits Dispenses materials, parts and tooling to Repair Station Personnel in a friendly, efficient manner Ensure that all serviceable parts and components are clearly identified and segregated from all unserviceable materials/parts Ensure shelf-life items that have expired are removed from inventory promptly, tagged with a red Repair Station Unserviceable Parts Tag, and places in the designated quarantine area Has a thorough understanding of the Suspected Unapproved Parts Program and Detecting and Reporting Suspected Unapproved Parts, and reports any parts suspected to be unapproved or in unserviceable condition to the Parts Manager or Chief Inspector Sends out and receives in calibrated tooling Submits warranty work to appropriate vendors, follows through to ensure payments are received Orders office supplies in a timely manner and maintains the stocking of the vending machines Completes company errands upon request and transports customers when needed All other duties as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong customer service skills Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to change, able to swiftly identify innovative solutions Proficient in aviation related terms, functions, and procedures Must be able to gain knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures as outlines in the Company Repair Manual, Quality Control Manual, and Federal Aviation Regulations relating to aviation parts Proficiency in inventory management Must be proficient in computer applications Physical Requirements Must be able to maintain full range of motion at all times Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. without assistance Be able to distinguish between colors, shades, and shapes The ability to read, write, and understand instructions.
