This position will be responsible for performing maintenance work throughout our foundry (factory for casting metal). This is a family owned and operated iron foundry that has been in business since 1882. We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated and reliable person to perform general maintenance duties in our foundry. Job Requirements: - Must be able to help maintain equipment with in the foundry. - Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team - Troubleshooting and problem solving skills - Analytical skills - In-depth mechanical skills -Strong electrical background a plus- Work with a range of hand and power tools - Able to lift 50 lbs. - Must be able to stand/remain on your feet throughout the entire 10 hour shift (excluding 30 min unpaid lunch for 1st shift and paid lunch for 2nd shift as well as one paid 15 min break.) - Opportunities for advancement contingent on attendance, knowledge, work ethic and ability to work with their supervisor. - Steel toe leather boots required. **MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST AND PHYSICAL** Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Shift availability: Night Shift (Preferred) Day Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
