ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides resident supervision and/or assistance with activities throughout the day of daily living, (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinent care, transferring, feeding, communication, ambulation, and documents ADLs provided by employee Assists with activities, snacks, meals, etc. Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of residents in the delivery of services to them. Interacts with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring, homelike environment. Observes residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly reports these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel Provides basic First Aid and CPR when necessary and maintains current certification Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the guidelines mandated by Social Services as the licensing agent of this facility Be of acceptable physical and mental health to carry out assigned duties Employee must possess mature judgment skills and be able to respond to emergency situations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a current and valid license as a CNA from the Virginia Board of Nursing / Department of Health Professions or a valid certificate of completion of 120 hours coursework or present a nurse aide certificate, PCA certificate or GNA certificate from a reputable and recognizable affiliation within the guidelines of the Board of Nursing State Police background check that is free from barrier offenses The ability to pass a Drug Test Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour Physical Setting: Nursing home Work Location: In person
