Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.As a Quality Auditor at Caterpillar Inc., you will perform various product audit functions on excavators and tractors.In this role you may be expected to:Perform quality inspection based on the check- list of inspection points/proceduresComplete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, dry leak testing, Cab electrical tests, templates, etc.)Perform overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.Inspect products to ensure it meets the specificationsGather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repairBasic Qualifications:Manufacturing experienceBasic computer skillsPhysical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):Willing and able to stand for prolonged periodsWilling and able to perform repetitive operationsWilling and able to lift up to 35 lbs.Top candidates will also have:Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environmentIntermediate proficiency (Basic Skills/Knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in SAPIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with inspection tools and product auditing processesProgressive movement to higher level of responsibility positionsStrong working knowledge of Assembly/Manufacturing practicesAdvanced problem solving/troubleshooting abilityAbility to follow Standard Work/ BIQ (Built In Quality)Effective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize workHeavy equipment machine assembly experience with tractors or excavatorsAdditional Information: Resumes are highly encouraged for all applicants. Overtime may be required as needed to support business needs.
