Job Requirements
• 20+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Experience as a Director, Vice President of Manufacturing or Operations, Plant Director, or comparable senior plant leader
• Experience managing daily plant operations and production performance
• Proven success implementing Lean manufacturing and operational excellence systems
• Experience improving plant safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and schedule attainment
• Experience developing plant supervisors and operational leadership teams
• Experience implementing daily management systems and production planning processes
• Experience improving equipment reliability and reducing production downtime
• Experience identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing standardized processes
• Experience leading performance improvement within a high-volume manufacturing facility
Preferred Skills
• Food or frozen-food manufacturing experience
• Consumer packaged goods manufacturing experience
• Packaging manufacturing experience
• High-speed automated manufacturing experience
• Temperature-controlled manufacturing experience
• Continuous-process manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with labor productivity, capacity planning, and production scheduling
• Experience with equipment reliability and preventive maintenance programs
Job Responsibilities
• Direct daily plant operations and production activities
• Stabilize plant performance during the interim leadership period
• Establish and monitor safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and delivery metrics
• Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strengthen daily production management and accountability systems
• Improve production planning, labor utilization, and schedule attainment
• Develop supervisors and plant leadership personnel in operational management practices
• Improve equipment reliability and reduce planned and unplanned downtime
• Identify and remove production constraints and operational bottlenecks
• Standardize manufacturing processes and plant operating procedures
• Increase throughput and labor productivity
• Establish sustainable systems for ongoing plant performance improvement
• Report plant performance, operational risks, and improvement progress to executive leadership
Pay Details: $67.00 to $90.00 per hour
