The Lead will work within the department to support all functions of production and make sure that production is accurate, and product is being made in a timely manner, all while ensuring safety and organizational policies are met. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and operational standards throughout the department in order to maintain a safe working environment Assist in production reporting and have basic computer skills. Provide leadership and guidance to employees in the department. Ensure operation of equipment by calling maintenance for repairs. Maintain a positive atmosphere and promote teamwork in the department. Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking. Approve employee timesheets for payroll. Manage employee time away from work requests and ensuring department functions are covered while an employee is on vacation or leave. Perform other related duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Speak, read and write English. Ability to perform basic math calculations to include, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to read and apply standard measures of a ruler or tape measure to 1/16”. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must use discretion, judgment, confidentiality and tact when dealing with employees. Must be flexible and resourceful to efficiently cope with diversified, non-routine work. Strong leadership and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and interpret written documents. Commitment to company values and goals. Ability to report to worksite at scheduled times. Computer Knowledge, SAGE is a plus. High School diploma preferred. Ability to operate industrial sewing machines a plus. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES/REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS: Requires full manual dexterity to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk and hear. Fast paced, constantly changing work environment The employee must be able to stand for 8+ hours daily. Have strong communication and analytical skills Be able to quickly analyze and troubleshoot problems The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion.
