No prior experience is required — just a genuine passion for music and a willingness to learn. Experience with woodworking or orchestral instruments is a plus, but not required. We'll provide comprehensive, hands-on training to help you grow into a skilled string instrument repair technician. About Zeswitz Music Founded in 1923 by Luthier William Zeswitz, Sr., Zeswitz Music has been a cornerstone of the Berks County music community for over a century. We proudly serve schools in 4 states, local teachers, and private individuals with expert instrument sales, support, and repair services. Our full-service Repair Facility handles string, woodwind, and brass instruments. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair rental fleet orchestral string instruments Progress into School District and privately-owned instrument repairs as skills develop Maintain personal and company woodworking tools and equipment safely and effectively Assist with shop and company inventory management Support other shop and operational duties as needed Use basic computer systems for daily tasks What We're Looking For A strong willingness to learn and grow in the craft Ability to adapt to varying daily responsibilities Background in instrumental music preferred Comfort using hand and power tools Strong organizational and communication skills Basic computer proficiency (experience with Salesforce POS/Warehouse a plus; familiarity with Microsoft Office/email helpful but not required) Solid problem-solving skills and ability to multitask under pressure Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Availability for overtime during peak seasonal periods Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs What We Offer Competitive hourly wages Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off Holiday pay Real career growth in a century-old, respected local business Ready to Turn Your Passion for Music Into a Career?
