As a Community Engagement DSP, you will: Support individuals during community outings, activities, volunteer opportunities, and recreational events Assist individuals with daily living skills, including communication, decision-making, money handling, and social skills Follow each individual’s Person-Centered Plan, ISP goals, and behavior support strategies Promote independence while ensuring health, safety, and dignity at all times Provide transportation support using personal vehicle, provide proof of full coverage insurance. Assist with medication administration if certified (or willingness to obtain certification) Document services accurately and timely in accordance with DBHDS regulations Maintain professional boundaries and respectful interactions with individuals, families, and community partners Communicate concerns, progress, or incidents promptly to supervisors Participate in required trainings and follow all agency policies and procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required) Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass background checks and required screenings Experience supporting individuals with ID/DD preferred (training provided) Strong communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented attitude Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in varied community settings CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certification (or willingness to obtain)
