Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Sleep Scheduler / Front Desk Check-In & Check-Out staff member to join our sleep center team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by coordinating sleep study appointments, managing front desk operations, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and has excellent communication and multitasking skills. Responsibilities: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm in-lab sleep studies and home sleep tests. Obtain insurance eligibility. Register patients and accurately enter demographic and insurance information. Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Complete patient check-in and check-out procedures. Collect co-pays and process payments. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries. Coordinate with physicians, technologists, and clinical staff regarding scheduling needs. Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Prepare patient paperwork and ensure all required documentation is completed. Monitor appointment schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize cancellations or no-shows. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. Previous medical office, healthcare scheduling, or front desk experience preferred. Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and customer service-oriented attitude. Preferred Skills: Experience working in a sleep center, pulmonary practice, or specialty clinic. Familiarity with medical terminology. Ability to prioritize competing tasks while maintaining accuracy. Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
