Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to oversee the care and education of 2-year-old children. In this vital role, you will create a warm, structured classroom environment that promotes early childhood development, supports individual needs, and encourages positive social interactions. Your leadership will ensure that our toddlers receive exceptional care while adhering to safety standards and educational best practices. Duties Lead daily classroom activities focused on early childhood development, including play-based learning and age-appropriate curriculum implementation Supervise and support assistant teachers and caregivers to maintain a cohesive, nurturing classroom environment Foster strong communication with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including pediatric first aid and CPR readiness Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance and behavior management strategies Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws Collaborate with team members to plan activities that promote social-emotional growth, language skills, motor development, and cognitive skills Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs for toddlers Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment Experience with child supervision, behavior management, and classroom organization Effective communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations Prior experience in daycare center or preschool teaching preferred; nannying or babysitting experience also valuable Join us at St Paul's Child Development Center where your passion for early childhood education can make a meaningful difference!
