Job Summary Full-Time Nursing Supervisor – Methadone Treatment Program (Pennsylvania) Location: Wyomissing, PA Schedule: Full-Time day shift only EOE Reports To: Clinical Director / Program Administrator Position Summary The Nursing Supervisor oversees all nursing operations within our DDAP‑licensed methadone treatment program, ensuring safe, compliant, patient‑centered care. This role provides direct supervision to nursing and support staff, maintains medication accountability systems, supports interdisciplinary treatment planning, and upholds Pennsylvania regulatory standards for opioid treatment programs (OTPs). The Nursing Supervisor is a key leader who promotes clinical excellence, staff development, and a culture of compassion and stability for patients in recovery. Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight & Leadership Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants. Ensure daily nursing operations run smoothly, including dosing, assessments, triage, and documentation. Maintain a positive, mission‑driven team culture focused on patient safety and respect. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure full compliance with DDAP , SAMHSA , DEA , and Pennsylvania OTP regulations. Oversee medication ordering, storage, inventory, reconciliation, chain‑of‑custody, and waste procedures. Conduct regular audits of charts, MARs, incident reports, and dosing logs. Participate in internal and external audits, corrective action plans, and quality improvement initiatives. Patient Care & Clinical Support Conduct nursing assessments, vitals, withdrawal monitoring, and medical triage. Collaborate with physicians, counselors, and administrative staff to support individualized treatment plans. Respond to medical emergencies and ensure staff readiness through ongoing training. Training & Staff Development Provide onboarding, competency checks, and continuing education for nursing staff. Maintain up‑to‑date protocols for infection control, medication safety, and emergency procedures. Lead regular nursing team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary weekly agency medical team meetings and ongoing case reviews. Operational Management Develop and maintain nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Manage nursing supplies, equipment, and medication ordering in coordination with pharmacy partners. Support EHR documentation standards and workflow optimization. Ensure staff meet licensing, credentialing and training goals in accordance with regulatory and funding requirements. Qualifications Active Pennsylvania RN license required. Minimum 3 years of nursing experience , preferably in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or acute care. Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with methadone or other MAT programs is highly desirable. Strong understanding of DDAP regulations, OTP standards, and medication safety protocols. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
