Posting Number 2016424T Department Summary The Center for Community Impact (CCI) advances Ohio University’s commitment to community engagement by fostering reciprocal, mutually beneficial partnerships that connect the University’s teaching, research, and service missions with community-identified priorities. As the institution’s central hub for community engagement, CCI supports community-engaged teaching and scholarship, coordinates strategic partnerships, facilitates experiential learning opportunities, administers engagement tracking and assessment systems, and leads institutional efforts related to the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification. Through collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and community partners, CCI works to strengthen the University’s impact across local, regional, and statewide communities. Position will coordinate operations for the Center for Community Impact, including community engagement programs, engagement systems administration, data tracking, events, communications, and administrative support. Supports implementation of community engagement initiatives, partnership coordination, and institutional reporting efforts, including the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification. Collaborates with campus and community stakeholders to advance the University’s community engagement goals. Position Profile Provides a broad range of administrative services critical to the operations of a college, division, or department. Implements unit-wide projects and initiatives. Oversees administrative processes, determines workflows, manages schedules, prepares documents, plans and coordinates travel, meetings, and events. Performs independent analysis and oversees the collection and analysis of data used to develop reports, communications, and proposals. Provides input into unit strategic planning. Level Summary Provides professional expertise to the University community. Serves as a resource and guide to others in the department and/or university. Completes operational tasks essential for the daily functioning of the University. Additionally, contributes to larger projects or initiatives that align with department or University goals, often collaborating across teams. Supervisory Responsibilities May assist in mentoring or training new employees. Fiscal Responsibilities No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions. Problem Solving Handles a variety of problems with some independence. Independence of Action Some supervision; able to work independently on routine tasks. Communication and Collaboration Collaborates with team members and shares knowledge. Physical Requirements This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3-5 years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
