Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Sarasota, FL. This role oversees daily studio operations, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring a smooth client experience from check-in to check-out. The General Manager leads and supports a team of massage therapists and front desk staff, sets performance expectations, provides coaching, and promotes a collaborative, inclusive workplace. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing membership sales and renewals, monitoring financial performance and key metrics, and implementing local marketing initiatives to drive client acquisition and retention. The General Manager also ensures compliance with company policies, maintains a clean and safe environment, resolves client concerns, and upholds Elements Massage® standards of service and professionalism.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management within a service or retail environment, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Strong customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve concerns, and create a welcoming, inclusive experience for all clients.
• Operational and administrative skills, such as managing daily studio workflows, overseeing inventory, using scheduling and point-of-sale systems, and maintaining accurate records.
• Sales and business development abilities, including membership sales, basic budgeting, tracking KPIs, and executing local marketing or community outreach initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with massage therapists, front desk staff, and corporate partners.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to foster a respectful, supportive, and non-discriminatory workplace culture.
• Previous experience in health, wellness, hospitality, or fitness industries is beneficial; prior management experience in a membership-based business is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
