Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Teacher working from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM working with 3 and 4 year old children! In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will support classroom activities, assist with lesson implementation, and foster positive development in children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning experiences while working alongside experienced educators. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood development activities Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols Support classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions between activities Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative learning atmosphere Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori or preschool methodologies Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues Ability to plan engaging lessons focused on literacy education, math skills, and overall curriculum development Demonstrated understanding of childhood development stages and best practices in childcare Certification or coursework in special education or working with individuals with autism is advantageous Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels young minds’ growth!
