Position Summary
The Fine Art Department at Albright College seeks a part-time adjunct instructor to teach one section of Drawing for the Fall 2026 semester. This course introduces students to foundational drawing techniques, visual language, and observational skills across a range of media.
Responsibilities • Teach one section of Drawing (ART 101), meeting 2 times/week, in-person
• Develop and deliver a syllabus aligned with departmental learning outcomes
• Hold regular office hours or be available for student consultation
• Assess student work and submit grades in accordance with institutional deadlines
• Maintain a safe, well-organized studio environment
Qualifications • MFA in Studio Art, Drawing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level preferred
• Strong foundation in observational drawing, composition, and materials (charcoal, graphite, ink, etc.)
• Active studio practice and/or exhibition record a plus
