POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a full-time Auction & Estate Services Manager to help lead the continued growth of our estate services and auction operations.
The ideal candidate brings strong industry knowledge of fine art, jewelry, antiques, precious metals, and collectibles, along with a keen eye for quality, the ability to identify acquisition opportunities, and a talent for building positive relationships with clients, staff, and referral partners.
Working alongside Dan Erickson, Certified Personal Property Appraiser and Auctioneer, and our experienced team, you'll support auctions, estate consultations, estate sales, acquisitions, buying events, and business development. As our auction division continues to grow, this position offers outstanding opportunities for increased responsibility, leadership, and long-term career growth.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Significant experience in estate sales, auctions, fine art, jewelry, precious metals, antiques, and/or related industries
• Previous experience working in an auction house, estate sale company, gallery, jewelry business, appraisal firm, antique business, or similar environment
• Strong understanding of secondary market values and buying opportunities with demonstrated experience evaluating and purchasing antiques, artwork, estate jewelry, coins, watches, collectibles, and precious metals
• Experience researching, cataloging, photographing, and listing merchandise for auction or sale
• Gemstone experience a plus, but not required
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships and collaborate effectively with clients, coworkers, and referral partners while representing the company with integrity and exceptional customer service
• Ability to confidently communicate values, market trends, and selling strategies to clients
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Full-time position based in Venice, Florida
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Venice
• Ability to travel locally for in-home consultations, estate evaluations, buying events, estate sales, and client meetings
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to navigate residential properties, move throughout homes and estates, and safely handle, inspect, and relocate boxes, bins, and merchandise as needed during evaluations, estate sales, and auction preparation
