Assistant Equipment Manager
Muhlenberg High School has a vacancy for an Assistant Equipment Manager .
Beginning Fall 2026.

The Assistant Equipment Manager helps organize, maintain, and distribute athletic equipment and uniforms for the school's athletic programs. This position supports coaches and student-athletes by ensuring equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use.
Primary Duties
• Assist with issuing, collecting, and tracking athletic equipment and uniforms.
• Help maintain an organized equipment room and storage areas.
• Inspect equipment for damage and report items that need repair or replacement.
• Assist with laundry and cleaning of uniforms and other athletic gear as needed.
• Prepare equipment for practices, games, and special events.
• Help with inventory and record keeping.
• Follow school policies and safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Head Equipment Manager.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Ability to give clear direction
• Ability to supervise and direct others
• Must be interested in supporting and working with all student-athletes
• Knowledge of PIAA rules and policies governing the sport
• Ability to work within the Blueprint/Action Plan of the Muhlenberg School District
• Work collaboratively/cooperatively with the High School Head Coach to ensure their philosophy is being carried out throughout the 7-12 program
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during athletic seasons.
• Ability to work well with coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
Reports To: Athletic Director and/or Head Equipment Manager
Work Schedule: Schedule varies based on athletic practices, competitions, and seasonal needs.
Interested applicants must have current clearances, Acts 34, 114, 151 and 168 and three professional references.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in all training as required by PIAA.
