Shift: Sh ift times could vary, 7-8hrs/day, anywhere starting at 06:00am to as late as 03:30 PM EST.
Pay Rate: $21.80/ hour on W2.
Job Description:
• The Phlebotomist III - Floater serves as a key point of contact for patients, supporting routine care and important health-related decisions.
• This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.
• The position requires direct patient interaction and the ability to perform blood draws safely, accurately, and professionally while building patient trust.
• Coverage is provided across multiple locations and service areas, including Patient Service Centers, In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP), mobile services, and Long-Term Care.
• Candidates must be able to lead on site and support onboarding for new clients and employees.
• The role may also support complex, high-volume operations and requires strong communication and collaboration with teams such as Sales, Lab Testing, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and advanced phlebotomy procedures, including pediatric and geriatric collections, in a variety of settings.
• Travel between multiple locations to provide coverage for PSC, IOP, LTC, and mobile services.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming environment for patients and staff while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Train and support new employees, assist with onboarding, and serve as an on-site resource.
• Serve as the point of contact at assigned location(s) and provide input to group leads or supervisors.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and the work area to support safe and efficient specimen collection.
• Rotate and restock inventory to ensure materials are used before expiration.
• Assist with cycle counts and full physical inventory when needed.
• Prepare and break down bulk packaging to support efficient inventory management.
Job Requirements:
• Ability to deliver accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to travel and work at multiple locations on short notice.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including venipuncture and pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Leadership ability and willingness to serve as a site lead or support resource.
• Commitment to following safety standards, dress code requirements, and company policies.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Required Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
• Five years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• eyboard/data entry experience.
