Role Overview
Provides specialized nursing care in the Med Surg 4: Nephrology-Urology-Gyn Department, focusing on Hemodialysis and urological treatments.
All nurses are trained in Peritoneal Dialysis, unique to the facility.
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care in a supportive environment.
Work involves maintaining clinical standards, coordinating patient care, and demonstrating professional growth.
Unit emphasizes teamwork, with experienced charge nurses and a clinical manager guiding practice.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across all age groups.
Maintain practice standards and coordinate activities of assigned staff to ensure quality care.
Adapt patient ratios based on volume and acuity of needs.
Qualifications
Graduate of a nursing program; new graduates eligible.
Current Georgia RN license or multistate license; BLS certification required.
Preferred: One year hospital experience, bachelor’s degree, and advanced certifications in specialty areas.
