Construction Project Manager I Master Carpent
About the Role:
The Construction Project Manager | Master Carpenter | Finish Carpentry Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing commercial and luxury residential construction projects from pre-construction through project completion. This role combines project management expertise with advanced carpentry craftsmanship to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.
The position oversees field operations, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and project documentation while also providing hands-on leadership in custom finish carpentry, architectural millwork, specialty woodworking, and complex construction installations. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional leadership, technical construction knowledge, and a commitment to delivering superior craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five to ten years (5 to 10) years of construction project management experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of advanced finish carpentry and custom woodworking experience.
• Experience managing commercial and luxury residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of design-build construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple construction trades.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge with Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Experience with custom luxury residential construction.
• Knowledge of specialty architectural finishes and premium woodworking techniques.
• Experience managing specialty construction projects.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation specific to carpentry and overall construction activities.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of carpenters, subcontractors, and other construction personnel to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and resolve any issues that arise during construction.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and address any design or material concerns.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and cost tracking.
