About the Role
WMS Power User (Blue Yonder Discrete)
The Power User is responsible for the definition, setup, and management of Blue Yonder Discrete WMS in our Bernville, PA site. Drives system development, setup and configuration, coordinates and documents necessary improvements for development, manages effective release management with IT, and ensures both implementation and operations are aware of updated features.
The role works closely with engagement & delivery project teams for the analysis, planning, roll-out, UAT, and testing for new and existing clients.
Provides regional support and interacts with employees from various departments and external clients, 3PLs, carriers, and suppliers globally for the below key tasks:
• System types and definition during the engagement & delivery process for new clients.
• System configuration and testing: Ensure IT system configuration and planning phase (in parallel to the operations preparation), allowing system deployment at the time of start of business.
• Operations preparation and planning: In close collaboration with internal and client stakeholders to arrange the necessary setup, development, documentation, and training to execute the business.
• Identify systemic solutions to operational requirements and improvement initiatives.
• Roll out, go-live and stabilization, monitoring and improvement of the systems with clear timelines and quality checkpoints to ensure client satisfaction and productivity.
• Support Key Users within the operations as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Main areas of focus and responsibility within the role:
• Serves as the primary systems point-of-contact for internal/external customers, operations, and business development.
• Assists in analysis, definition, and documents detailed requirement specifications for changes or new functionality.
• Assist with system maintenance and configurations.
• Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for customer-facing application(s).
• Log systems problems in the Help Desk system for tracking and analytical purposes.
• Meet customer requirements; ensure productivity levels are reached in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining quality performance objectives.
• Proactively and continuously seek to improve the highest level of service from the application(s).
• Actively collaborate with IT, Customer Success, Engineering, and Operations in order to innovate and differentiate.
• Maintain a prioritized systems task list and coordinate with the Corporate office to ensure task resolution occurs.
• Effectively identify and escalate issues as appropriate.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
• Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, IT, or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 5 years of warehousing or logistics experience.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
Experience
• Proven track record in implementation systems projects.
• Strong affinity with IT systems and the related impact/benefits to solution design.
• In-depth understanding of complex supply chain solutions and the deployment of value-creating/generating solutions.
• Knowledge of Blue Yonder Discrete.
• Experience applying order, transportation, and other logistics management systems to a variety of complex global supply chain operations.
• In-depth supply chain knowledge with hands-on practical experience.
