IT Asset Specialist
Our client is seeking an organized and detail-oriented IT Asset Specialist to support the day-to-day management of enterprise IT assets and telecommunications services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in IT operations, asset management, procurement, or desktop support who enjoys coordinating technology deployments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and working with vendors and internal stakeholders.
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring computers, mobile devices, and telecommunications equipment are properly tracked, deployed, and supported throughout their lifecycle while helping improve operational processes and service delivery.
3-4 Month Contract to Possible Hire | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Pay: $28-$32 per hour | 2 days onsite
Responsibilities
• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and telecommunications equipment from procurement through retirement.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and asset documentation using asset management systems.
• Coordinate wireless services including device ordering, provisioning, upgrades, feature modifications, and deactivations.
• Review vendor invoices and inventory reports, identify discrepancies, and partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing and inventory issues.
• Coordinate the ordering, staging, deployment, and delivery of end-user computing equipment to corporate and field locations.
• Serve as a point of contact for IT asset, procurement, wireless, and telecommunications requests, including moves, adds, and changes.
• Generate and analyze operational reports related to IT assets, inventory, telecommunications, and vendor activity to support business reporting and decision-making.
• Create and maintain documentation for IT asset management processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure timely fulfillment of technology requests and ongoing operational support.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, desktop support, procurement, or a related technical support role.
• Experience managing IT hardware inventory and asset lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with mobile device and telecommunications administration is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working with vendors, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
