Bookkeeper
The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports.
The Bookkeeper must be detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Functional Responsibility and Task Statements
• AR – record payments, investigate discrepancies, and contact past due accounts.
• AP – record expenses, make payments, and investigate discrepancies.
• Sales tax filings
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliation.
• Assist with the month-end close process.
• Set up subcontractor 1099s and any additional IRS year-end requirements.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to implement solutions.
• Vendor management.
• Other projects/reports as needed.
• Incumbent(s) in this position may be required to perform other duties and special assignments not specifically stated.
Environmental : The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Travel Requirements : Minimal travel is required for this position.
Qualifications and Experience
• Customer service oriented, fluent in QuickBooks desktop, experienced in general accounting skill set, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
• Have a strong sense of urgency.
• Must be able to multitask and have strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
Experience:
• Bookkeeping: 3-5 Years (Preferred)
• QuickBooks: 3-5 years (Required)
