Full-time staff nurse position in Athens, GA within the Orthopedics Department, working day shifts from 7am-7pm, with a sign-on bonus available.
The nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across all ages, following organizational policies and demonstrating professional growth and accountability.
Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, and coordinating activities of assigned staff to ensure quality care.
Qualifications include a diploma from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred), RN licensure in Georgia, BCLS certification, and relevant specialty certifications depending on department. New graduates are eligible; prior hospital experience preferred.
Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, and others may be required based on specialty area. Additional certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.
Patient ratios vary based on patient needs, and the role involves maintaining high standards of practice and patient safety.
