Job Description
As a Security Officer Gatehouse Monitor in Topton, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location where you will help manage access control, monitor site activity, and perform routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this driving post, you will interact with employees and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service. What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries in support of security-related operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, including the building perimeter, parking areas, and loading or shipping and receiving zones, as required by the location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or unusual activity by maintaining a visible presence and reporting security-related concerns promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
