Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Maintenance Mechanic Millwright to join our manufacturing facility’s maintenance team. Duties Install, align, troubleshoot, and repair machinery using precision measuring instruments, schematics, and technical manuals. Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and conveyor belts to minimize downtime. Diagnose electrical issues using tools like ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; repair or replace electrical components including high voltage systems. Maintain and calibrate equipment utilizing industrial electrician experience and understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct welding operations with welding techniques to fabricate or repair metal structures and machinery components. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals to execute repairs accurately. Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas for maintenance tasks. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work performed, track maintenance schedules, and manage inventory. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime during scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs. Ensure compliance with safety standards including HVAC/R systems management and high voltage safety protocols. Skills Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical (low voltage and high voltage), and mechanical systems. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, calipers, and micrometers. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, and industrial electrical components. Ability to operate field service equipment including scissor lifts and forklifts safely following safety regulations. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex machinery issues quickly and accurately. Excellent customer service mindset when working with internal teams or external vendors during field service tasks. Experience with welding techniques specific to welding standards for fabrication or repair purposes. Familiarity with CMMS software for effective maintenance management. Background in industrial electrician work combined with mechanical knowledge enhances troubleshooting capabilities.
