Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Load Planner / Dispatcher to support the daily operations of a dedicated trucking account. This individual will be responsible for planning, dispatching, and monitoring freight movements to ensure exceptional service levels for our customer. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can make quick decisions under pressure, and is committed to ensuring every load is executed successfully. This position will report directly to the Dedicated Accounts Manager. Key Responsibilities Plan and dispatch daily freight movements while maximizing efficiency and asset utilization. Communicate load assignments, schedule changes, and operational updates to drivers and jockeys. Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure on-time performance. Proactively identify and resolve service issues before they impact the customer. Work closely with the Dedicated Accounts Manager to recover potential load failures and service disruptions. Coordinate equipment and driver availability to support customer requirements. Secure backhaul opportunities when directed to improve network efficiency and profitability. Maintain accurate records and updates within transportation management systems. Provide timely communication to customers and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and exceptions. Support 24/7 operational coverage as required. Required Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, or load planning. Strong understanding of trucking operations, routing, and driver management. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
