Private Duty OPENINGS: Pottstown NIGHT SHIFT Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7p-7a & PRN The client is a young adult who needs ongoing assistance with all ADL's. She has a smile that brightens the room and has no behavioral issues. She is able to ambulate with the use of a gait belt. She loves music and looking through pictures of family and friends. The nurse must perform careful neuro assessments, as this client has a seizure disorder. This is an established case in a safe neighborhood, and you will be attending a day program with the client for a portion of the day. Transportation to and from the day program is provided. Essential Functions: Follow the nursing process in all areas of patient care. Fall seizure and aspiration precautions. Uses established seizure protocols for seizure management as written by the neurologists. Accurately documents assessments, treatments, and interventions. Notifies the family and management of any concerns. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid, active Pennsylvania RN License Current CPR (or be willing to take a class) Seizure management experience helpful.
