A well-established human services organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Director to serve as a key member of its Executive Leadership Team. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple programs and departments and plays a critical role in advancing organizational goals, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing leaders, and fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. The Operations Director serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborates closely with executive leadership to drive organizational performance, support growth initiatives, and ensure high-quality services across the organization. Primary Responsibilities Provide executive-level leadership and oversight of organizational operations and service delivery. Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and supervisors. Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on strategic planning and organizational initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Monitor operational performance, quality outcomes, staffing effectiveness, and key performance indicators. Support workforce development, succession planning, employee engagement, and leadership growth. Identify operational risks and implement strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Participate in budgeting, resource allocation, and long-term organizational planning. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and service excellence. Represent the organization professionally with external stakeholders, community partners, and regulatory agencies as needed. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in a human services, healthcare, business, public administration, organizational leadership, or related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred. Significant leadership experience within a service-driven organization, including responsibility for program operations, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance. Demonstrated success leading multiple teams, departments, locations, or service lines within a complex operational environment. Experience developing and mentoring leaders while managing competing priorities, staffing challenges, and organizational change. Strong understanding of quality assurance, risk management, service delivery systems, and regulatory compliance. Experience supporting programs serving vulnerable populations is highly desirable. Familiarity with government-funded service systems, person-centered planning, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, or similar regulatory environments preferred. Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across departments while maintaining accountability for operational outcomes. Strong communication, problem-solving, strategic planning, and organizational leadership skills.
